We went with acrylic mirror panels for our mirrors versus real glass panels for a couple of reasons.

First, acrylic panels tend to be more durable, meaning they are less likely to break on your during travel or while in use.

Second, if they somehow break, then they break in bigger pieces. In contrast, when real glass breaks, it tends to shatter, which can be quite dangerous. No one wants a bunch of shattered glass in their Performance Bag or on the floor backstage.

Lastly, acrylic tends to be lighter weight than actual glass. Since these mirrors are designed with travel and performance in mind, we thought that the lighter the weight, the better.
